Our brand new Christmas single is available all over the world now. It’s called It Will Still Be Christmas and it might just be one of the loveliest songs we’ve ever written.
All proceeds from sales of the song will be donated to Refuge to help them to continue providing life-saving and life-changing services to women and children escaping domestic abuse and other forms of gender-based violence.
We were thinking about Christmas and trying to imagine how it would be this year. We thought of all the things we’d usually be doing and realised that a lot of them might not even be possible this year. We probably wouldn’t be able to go ice skating or wrap up warm to walk around the Christmas markets with a hot chocolate, We might not get to see the lights along Oxford Street or go to Christmas parties every other night in December. At first we felt so sad and disappointed that it wouldn’t be the same as usual, but as we thought more about it we realised that even without all these secular holiday traditions it would still be Christmas time. We would still be celebrating the same thing we always do just in a different way, and perhaps instead of being a sad time, it would make us all look a little bit deeper into the true meaning of Christmas. It felt like a light that we could all look forward to at the end of all the darkness we’d been through and we thought we should write a song about that feeling.
We hope you have a wonderful Christmas wherever you are and whoever you have it with.
Take care
Love
